I've been quiet
I've been out of it
Ive been looking for the right way
to speak my mind again
I'm okay but I've been better
I've been taking my sweet time
because things got too bitter to start again
to start brand new
it seemed so far away
with too much to lose
I was scared
I was complacent
I was dragging my feet
and slowing my breathing
took my time as if I had any
straightened out my mind
which i needed
to start again
all brand new
it feels so good, it feels like it used to
I never really let go
I thought I had but didn't
I was lost
I was frustrated
wasn't myself
and I can admit that now
we made mistakes
we can't erase them
even if we did
it wouldn't change anything
cause the past in the past and we must let go

I remember when Growing In was released as a surprise, I was incredibly excited. And the way Ace passed it off as something he just whipped up really quick made me excited to just have a little something extra. But this album quickly became my favorite album of the year, and may even be my favorite album out of all of Ace's projects. christovix
