I grew up a little to fast
realized half way cross the world
there's no going back
so she flew down
to fix my mind
nursed me back on my feet
and i got by
with the weight of the world
i pushed through
bruised and broken, black and blue
racing hearts and heads don't sleep
don't let them go and bury me
now, not now
cause you're all i need now
take me back to where we started
just let me get home
because i can't make it on my own
take me back to where we started
I felt weak
I felt ashamed
afraid you'd never look at me the same
heard time it heals
so i took all i could get
yeah I'm not perfect but I've learned to
deal with it
when the walls catch fire
and i can't breathe
i won't let the smoke smother me
when the currents change
and drag me to sea
i won't let the water swallow me
down, not now
cause you're all i need now
take me back to where we started
just let me get home
because i can't make it
on my own
take me back to where we started
just take me home
bring me back to where we started
you make me feel whole again
bring me back to where we started
you, I
eastern standard time
tonight we reunite
I go where you go
tonight we reunite
I remember when Growing In was released as a surprise, I was incredibly excited. And the way Ace passed it off as something he just whipped up really quick made me excited to just have a little something extra. But this album quickly became my favorite album of the year, and may even be my favorite album out of all of Ace's projects. christovix
